St Peter's Hospice

Jack Lopresti, MP for Filton & Bradley Stoke, visited the St Peter’s Hospiceshop in Downend to show his support for the cause.

He joined in sorting and steaming with our staff and volunteers and even turned up with bags of donated items which he Gift Aided!

He said: “I was very pleased to be invited to get a ‘behind the scenes’ look at what happens to items once donated as we often drop them off without a second thought.

“It was fascinating to see how St Peter’s Hospice shops really do make the most of everything donated, right down to old socks. Having had the opportunity to see volunteers in action, I am full of admiration for everyone who gives their time, energy and goods to charity shops in my constituency and beyond."
